​" We had the good fortune to meet Martin and Kath a couple of years ago and they have been wonderful house/dog sitters on many occasions for us. They are kind, helpful and very accommodating, happily doing live in / live out sits for holiday cover, sometimes for just a couple of days or even short day sits to look after the dog(s), often at short notice. Nothing is too much trouble, and the house is always left clean and tidy. We could not be happier to have found them, we would recommend them without hesitation, they are reliable, honest and completely trustworthy. "

" Martin and Kath have been brilliant with our elderly tabby cat, 2 German Shepherds and 16 unruly chickens. Martin has a real affinity for birds and the chickens go into egg laying overdrive for him!

One of our German Shepherds has separation anxiety having had a number of homes before us. Kath treats him with such love and care that he remains totally calm when we go away (we are actually starting to suspect that he prefers being with her!). The other GSD is old and can't do long walks, but they accommodate each pet and do not make an issue out of anything.

Martin and Kath are kind, genuine people who take great care of our animals and our home. They inspire confidence and step into the breach with great ease and flexibility. We look on them as unflappable, safe pairs of hands and, if they were not available, then we would not go away ".

" Finding New Forest Home Sitters’ website was the luckiest thing that has happened to us so far this year.  We liked Kath and Martin immediately and were completely happy to leave our house and 6 cats in  their charge. 

​We were away in Africa for a month and there was never a moment when we had the least worry about how things were going.  They kept us informed with lovely pictures of the animals sitting happily on their knees and they were just a joy to have staying in our house. 

I may say that I am no stranger to house sitters having lived all over the world and there are good ones, terrible ones and, like these two, absolutely outstanding ones.  I like to think they have become friends and I could not recommend them more. I hope to have them again when we go away again next year."

" I can't recommend Kath and Martin highly enough as pet and house sitters. They have cared for our menagerie (3 parrots, 2 cats, and a dog) on several occasions now, and have done a brilliant job each time.  Although I have a horsey friend to look after the horses if we're away, Martin and Kath are very happy to keep an eye on the them as well, and to top up water troughs etc.

It isn't easy to find people willing and able to look after the parrots (ours are fully flighted and don't live in cages), but Martin in particular has a genuine interest in them, and he has a great relationship with all three.  It is wonderful to be able to go away and not worry at all about how the animals are being cared for.  Being local, they are available for shorter sits too, which is great if we need to go away for just a night or two.  Finally, rather embarrassingly, the house is always much cleaner than when we left it ! "

They were perfect in every way; great communicators, used initiative and made sure we had a nice welcome home with flowers and treats. Martin and Kath took care of our chickens, ducks and geese as well as our beloved Jack Russell. They also kept an eye on our horses and donkey. We would not hesitate in recommending Martin and Kath and hope they will housesit for us again too! "

" Martin and Kath looked after our large house in the Cotswolds and two on-site self catering cottages while we were on holiday in March 2016. They did a wonderful job!

We had quite a number of changeovers in our cottages during our absence, and Martin and Kath liaised with the cleaner, checked the cottages thoroughly before guests arrived, and welcomed guests arriving at the cottages. They were also the first point of contact for guests during their stay, and were able to deal with any issues which arose very quickly and professionally.

​We arrived home to a beautifully clean and tidy house, and happy guests who had all enjoyed their stay. Knowing that Martin and Kath were looking after our properties so well meant that we could have a really relaxing and enjoyable holiday with our children. We would recommend them wholeheartedly as house sitters ! "
